About Me

Hi! I'm Naomi Terrell, a Pittsburgh native who always dreamed of being an actor on TV. As a kid, I begged my mom to take me to casting calls, and luckily she was savvy enough to know if they were scams or not — and they almost always were. With the film and TV industry feeling out of reach for a kid from western Pennsylvania, I turned to the one stage that was available: the middle school musical. My debut came in 4th grade as Oompa Loompa #7 in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and I've been in love with theatre ever since.

That love carried me to PennWest California University of Pennsylvania, where I earned a BA in Theatre with a Musical Theatre concentration in 2023. After graduating, I moved home, signed with Docherty Agency, and expanded from stage into television and film. I've had a recurring co-star role as SHARON on Mayor of Kingstown (Paramount+) and have worked as talent for brands including American Eagle, Giant Eagle, Shop 'n Save, Dick's Sporting Goods, and a national Super Bowl commercial for Cash App x Visa featuring Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

On stage, my credits include the world premiere of Sixty-Nine/Seventy (Naomi), Saving the Greeks (Teiresias), Into the Woods (Stepmother), Dear Edwina (Annie), Exit, Pursued by a Bear (Nan Carter), The Addams Family (Morticia), and A Christmas Carol, among others.

My work is currently in front of Pittsburgh audiences. I'm co-lead in the feature film Maxx: Son of the Damned, premiering November 20 at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center, where you can also get a special first look at my next project, HOMEFRONT. My short film x art exhibition Greetings: Archive Ops is on view there through November 29 as well. At the end of October 2026, I begin filming the pilot of a new vertical series in which I play the leading character, with a public release planned for early 2027.

Working with kids is one of my greatest joys. I teach acting, musical theatre, and dance throughout the Pittsburgh area, including at Premiere Performing Arts, where I directed this past summer's production of The Little Mermaid Jr. That same passion led me to found The Color of Royalty, an African American princess company that turns children's birthday parties into inclusive, magical events where kids see that anything is possible.

Behind the camera, I'm also a photographer, partnered with one of the most prestigious portrait photography studios in the country - Lauren Studios - trusted to photograph graduating seniors to curate the yearbooks for top schools including Carnegie Mellon, Cornell, Case Western Reserve, George Washington, Notre Dame, Villanova, and the University of Rhode Island. My studio even photographed ex Vice-President Kamala Harris’ senior portraits when she was a graduating senior at Howard University! I've also trained and mentored multiple photographers who now photograph the yearbook portraits for schools such as Princeton, Syracuse, UPenn, and Penn State.

Off set, I love kayaking, hiking, dancing, singing, painting, and spending time with friends, and I'll try any hobby, from aerial silks to stage combat. I have a passion for fashion, natural and strong instinctsma, and a charisma for life that has made me the person that I am today; and i couldn’t be more proud to invite you along this journey!

Thank you all for being here :)
